Alternative Friday

helping to spread the word about impressive new & under the radar musicians

We’ll never describe 2020 as having been a regular year, with life turned upside down for all of us. And while gigs & festivals have sadly been few and far between, music has continued to inspire us – with no let up in the quality of releases from new and emerging artists. The regular Mixtapes have highlighted my favourites, sourced from the 1000s of tracks heard via the Fresh on the Net inbox as well as elsewhere, and so to trim them down to the tracks below proved quite a challenge!

It’s an array of wonderful sounds too, from alt rock & indie, to Afro folk, emotive electronica, soulful pop, and more – so I hope you come across lots you love too, and next year do keep an eye on the regular Mixtape and Spotify playlists for more impressive new releases. Enjoy…
